Loose tooth @ 3:01 PM
Meet Amelia, the six year old toothless wonder!
I miss this cute little mug on a daily basis. It's hard not to. I mean, seriously. She's adorable. Plus, she's my little baby sister. What's not to love and miss about watching her grow up? Besides everything?
Luckily, she's more tech savvy than most of the people at home with her and she's also extremely familiar with the camera (even on a phone) and is always ready for a snapshot. So, when big moments happen, like losing two teeth, she's only a camera phone picture message away from me. I love that.
She lost her left upper front tooth on Mothers day while she was home with my mom celebrating. I've heard two different stories, one in which the tooth just popped out, from my mom, and one in which there was a string attached to a tooth and some yanking occurred then there was blood and the tooth was on the string and then money was exchanged but I can't be sure of the validity of either story. I am leaning towards the latter though, only because I heard it from the "source" of the six year old, moments after the tooth came out. Either way, she's happily toothless and I'm a sobbing older sister that can't believe her little sister is growing up and loosing teeth.
To top it all off, the little girl can text too! The top picture was sent this afternoon, with the caption "lost another one." I responded, "bahahaha! Jack-o-lantern! That's awesome!" To which I received the reply, "Silly, Little Jenn you're a pumpkin." And then I said that she was a pumpkin and immediately after I sent that text the sister I was texting said, "Amelia typed that." My brain froze when I read that message. I actually had to read it twice thinking that I had missed something. Sure enough it said, my six year old sister called me silly little Jenn and then proceeded to call me a pumpkin. Who is this kid?! She's going to be seven this year! I still can't believe it! She'll probably have mostly grown up teeth by the time it's her birthday and somehow that just doesn't seem possible. But I guess it is. I mean, she's graduating from Kindergarten this year and going into the 1st grade! Time has GOT to slow down!
