Drive to TN @ 5:11 PM

Leaving home was hard, it's always hard to leave the ones you love. This year I was lucky enough to find myself rather exhausted on the trip to TN. I fell asleep for the first 3 1/2 hours of the trek and woke up just in time to be apart of the exciting times that were to be had, such as a Burton tradition of "thrill seeking" to find cheaper gas and to also see just how far the car could go on "E." Apparently, it's about 2 miles after going past the gas station my father-in-law thought we were stopping at. That tradition just might be ex'd now. It was quite fun to see how far we could go. Plus, we got to use our gas-buddy app.
We stopped at a gas station right outside of TN. I knew I was in the south when I got the opportunity to sit on one of these bad boys while waiting for the hubby and father-in-law to finish up in the bathroom.

When we got to the Burtons home I was greeted by a real life tree, and my allergies were very accommodating and didn't bother to act up much. A pleasant surprise and blessing.
I've spent a few long weekends in TN, but this is my first stay at a week long excursion in TN with the in-laws. I'm looking forward to the fun that we'll have in the hubby's hometown.
