Chatt town Concert @ 5:18 PM

A few weeks ago I sprang at the opportunity to purchase a pair of tickets for Garrison and I to attend a concert of Garrison's favorite band, The Avett Brothers. I got them as an early birthday present, because they were playing in TN and I thought it would be perfect to do while visiting family. I ended up telling him while we were home in Delaware, because he kept asking why I was trying to plan out what we were doing, not exactly how I had planned to tell him, but exciting nonetheless. We got to see them play and it was just incredible. I have a new found love and appreciation for the band and want to see many more shows with Garrison before we are too old to do so.
This is Garrison's excited face.

The story of driving to Chattanooga is pretty lame, we left with Garrison's parents car and took off for Chattanooga. We stopped in Knoxville to see the area, just in case we ended up there for Law school. Then we kept going in order to get to our hotel in time to get ready for the concert. We got there with plenty of time and actually had time to shower and lay around, which I gladly jumped at the chance to do because I had a headache coming on and was feeling really tired. I decided to lay down for a bit and when I jumped up to get out of bed to get ready I accidently hit the nightstand and scratched up my leg pretty badly. It bruised instantly and hurt terribly. But I just smiled and said it didn't hurt because I was excited to take my hubby to his concert. When we got to the concert I just couldn't enjoy it the way I wanted to, my eye was hurting SO badly, I kept checking it out in the mirror in the bathroom but it felt really sketchy to touch my eye in a club bathroom so I could only do so much. I ended up watching most of the concert through one eye. After the show we left and got some migraine medicine and pizza and relaxed as much as we could, in the hotel room.
The next morning, I went to the bathroom to shower and get ready for the morning and found I had a rather massive bunch of "sleepies" in my eye, the one that had been bothering me. I rubbed it, thinking that it was pretty odd to have so much "sleepy" in my eye then I felt this tickling sensation in my eyeball. I looked at my finger, wondering if I had potentially scratched my eye with my nail. What I found was a disgustingly long piece of dark, curly hair on my finger, with sleepy attached to it. I kid you not, I had some nasty piece of some sort of fibrous material in my eye the entire concert and that was why my eye hurt so dang bad. My theory is that I must've gotten the hair in my eye while traveling and it was just in my eyelashes and it slowly worked its way into my eye until it was entirely in my eye enough to not be removed with my consistent attack at my contacts. Regardless of how it got there and what caused it, this hair was in my eye for over 24 hours and finding it was just about the most disgusting thing that I've encountered in a while. Talk about memorable moments.
