Easter @ 1:01 PM

I spent my weekend sleeping. I have some sort of head cold and sinus problem, allergy related no doubt and also weather related...if only Utah's weather could make a decision and stick with it. Girl can dream. Regardless, I've been sick and as a result our Easter plans were pretty shot. I had hoped to make an awesome basket for Garrison and have a great dinner and fun church experience. However, being sick pretty much killed that dream and I woke up around 12:30 in the afternoon on Easter. Garrison decided to just watch the Masters while I napped throughout the afternoon and made himself a salad and me some soup. I also ate a lot of chips (not sure why I loved them but they helped scratch my throat). When the Masters ended, Garrison thought it'd be a good idea to drive up to the Y and watch the sunset and get me some fresh air. I honestly feel like this was his last ditch effort to give us something to remember from our Easter this year. He misjudged the sunset and we just sat in the warm sun for a few hours, which my skin really enjoyed, and we just talked. I loved it and wouldn't trade a basket for that experience. Ever.
We also decided to take the kitchen aid that Garrison won back in December from the Nu Skin employee party and open it up for me to use. I'm so glad we kept it. I absolutely love the bright color and can't wait to whip up a huge batch of cookies and treats for us in the near future, but not until I'm healthy. That was our Easter, so grateful for the time I had to spend this holiday with my husband and I'm incredibly grateful the sacrifice of our Savior. Happy Easter!!!
