On eating habits @ 7:54 PM

This morning hit me like a ton of bricks. I had an appointment at 10AM (this was made a month ago, thinking I should make it earlier so I don't waste our Saturdays with frivolous appointments) and literally pulled myself out of bed into the shower and into clothes in 2 minutes to make it to my appointment that was in 15 minutes. Luckily, I didn't run into any traffic and I didn't have to be awake for the appointment. Note to self: don't make 10AM appointments on Saturdays anymore!

After the appointment the hubby and I did a whole lot of nothing (read: he slept in and I couldn't fall back asleep because once I'm awake my body tortures me until it's actually bed time). Then we had lunch and took a nap--my body must have been exhausted because I NEVER take naps. We woke up at 6PM craving milkshakes, so naturally we left the house in search of the best milkshakes around.
We found the best milkshakes at JCW's and they were DELICIOUS! I went with the slightly fruity/slightly salty combo of strawberry chessecake while the hubby, ever the southerner, opted for the peach cobbler. It was fantastic and the evening air felt great. We took a drive around, eating our shakes and talking about life before heading home to continue doing a whole lot of nothing. So wonderful!
I did, however, make dinner--but some may think this could be considered a "chaser" to our dessert before dinner. Being vegetarian has enhanced my appetite for greens, and although I enjoyed the milkshake, this feast was much more desirable for me, though my hubby may disagree. We might have spent most of the day recovering from our festivities the night before, but for a little over an hour we did scout out some new recipes to try and we're really looking forward to fun, flavorful dishes in our futures. One day we'll figure out how to eat more balanced...but until then I'll enjoy our sporadic dates that include only sweets. It's fun to be young.
