Hunger Games @ 3:52 AM
Our date night to my best friend Jen's started out like this:
After seeing the incredible sunset we knew our evening was bound to be spectacular.
And it was.
Our friends Jen and Mike invited us to a Hunger Games party, complete with trivia and fun foods before going to the 11:30 showing as a group. Unfortunately, my Shakespeare class interfered with our plans and we didn't end up at the party until about 8pm. I did, however, get a B+ on my final, which was very exciting considering that I walked out of the testing center thinking I had failed. Oh the anxiety attacks...
Missing out on trivia proved to be beneficial for us, since neither of us have read the Hunger Games series (I know, shamelessness and all profanities to us..we're busy with school and work, I barely have time to read my Shakespeare plays). The movie was great though. I was glad that we didn't feel left out for not having read the book and I really loved the message that it sent. We both really enjoyed the film work too! So happy that it's finally becoming "tasteful" for movies to capture artistic movement. We were a little tired after the movie, but were able to talk all the way home about the issues brought up in the film and that's always something we enjoy! We'll probably regret getting home at 3:30AM tomorrow but for now we're so happy to have spent the evening with our friends and outside of Provo!
Happy Hunting.
