earplugs @ 8:58 PM
Remember that time some guy stole a truck and hid it in our covered parking garage and then set it on fire? Yeah, me either, really... Seems I'm still getting over the horrors of that night. One being that ever since that night I have slept terribly. I'm generally someone that has to be rattled awake and can go back to sleep quite quickly and after that night I kept waiting to hear someone banging on our door--seriously, this happened for about a week after the incident. So, I guess my days or I really my nights of easy sleep are over.
Or they were, until the hubby purchased some earplugs for me after picking up his contacts the other day. We noticed a rip in his contacts last night and since homeboy has broken two pair of glasses since we've been married he's only got contacts for his poor eye-sight right now. Naturally, having a ripped contact is no good and it's even worse when that's your last pair of contacts. I ordered them for him over the phone before the place closed and before we went to dinner, but he decided to just pick them up today since he really needed contacts and while he picked them up he grabbed me some earplugs to see if they'd help me with my sleep.
I'm pretty excited to try them out because I do NOT like to wake up to the sound of loud music playing as someone is driving past our apartment complex or my LEAST favorite: when the garbage man comes three times a week and it takes him (what seems like) thirty minutes to back up after viciously shaking around a metal container for 15 minutes. Nothing says "good morning" like the garbage man! Let's just say that purchasing the SleepCycle app has helped and hindered my sleeping habits and if nothing else has proved that the garbage man wakes me up every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5:30 am. (I've only spent an hour and a half of my time checking through all of my sleep cycles to confirm that fact). I can't wait to try these babies out! Hopefully I'll be able to sleep through the wake-up call of Mr. Garbage man tomorrow, especially since I lost an hour of sleep this morning.
