yum @ 7:08 PM
When I left class today I couldn't help but feel kind of "down" and I wanted to be "perky" and "upbeat" because there's nothing worse than coming home to a spouse who's feeling down...right? Wrong. Both spouses could have had pretty rough days and both could want to just go home and lay down while avoiding the talk about their day.
Enter our Monday evening.
I picked up the hubby and we ended up at BYU's campus around 5:30 pm and split up to do assignments before going home. When we were finished up we found that we were both in much better moods than we had been prior to arriving to do our work; such a good feeling. We left and went on a date (perks of being the driver!!!) I took us to Yogurtland and we got there just before the Monday evening rush. ha! I was happy to have time to just talk about things that matter to us and enjoy a treat.
To some a paper cup of colorful fruit and yogurt may seem ordinary and unexciting, but for us, on this overcast day, it was serendipitous. We had a blast "talking" about our day (read: laughing at the ridiculousness of our "miserable" moods earlier in the evening). I've found that date nights are always the best when they are spontaneous and I'm so very lucky to have a hubby that's willing to be spontaneous.
