sickly @ 10:58 AM

This weekend I had what most people would envy: a 5 day weekend. No joke. I've been off of work and school for five days. Most people only had a 3 day weekend. Not I. This lucky duck had the chance to spend her weekend on the couch, in pain, coughing her lungs out and probably driving her husband up the walls. I had the beginnings of pneumonia this weekend and stayed inside during break.
my saturday night date--watching HP while hubby gets me some goodies

Don't be fooled by the Jones soda and Sour Patch kids. My weekend was miserable. I had to do NOTHING the entire time, while my husband doted on me and took care of everything that needed to be taken care of because he knew I'd do it if he didn't (please note the sarcasm: my weekend was as good as it could have been, given the circumstances). He's a gem. I showered and started to do the piles of laundry that needed to be done and he asked me why I was working. He said it was my job to let my body rest. Isn't that the sweetest? I think so. The hubby also went out and got me whatever I needed even if it was late at night and in the middle of one of the best parts of Harry Potter. I couldn't have been more pampered this weekend..well, maybe but as far as sick people go, I've had the best accommodations. I only wanted my Momma once this weekend and it was when I first woke up on Saturday in pain and coughing up a storm...but the hubby soon came to the rescue and thoughts of Momma lingered on (I think they're always there) but hubby did a tremendous job.
my day-time view: medicine and lots of blankets

My views this weekend included a lot of medicine, lovingly prescribed at the ER after finding out I had pneumonia and doing a breathing treatment and x-ray (did I mention I had terrible chills and that hospitals are FREEZING?!). I also found myself wrapped up in all of the blankets in our home and I finished off our mango "Naked" juice because it helped me feel better. Hopefully I'll be on the mend soon, being sick has been fun (read: I have enjoyed having someone dote on me) but I'd really like to be up and moving without getting tired and having achey joints and leg cramps.
my post ER drink of choice, since I couldn't handle much else.
At least I have a treat in mind for this afternoon. This hubby of mine has spoiled me rotten.
