on migraines @ 6:30 PM
Ever have that feeling, the one that slowly creeps up your neck as you're teaching your little four graders all about time and money (right before lunch, I might add), the feeling that says "I'm gonna make you cry for your momma before the wee ones leave for home"? I have. Two days straight. It's killing me, smalls!
I've been looking out for a ref to count me out--hold up the migraines arm in victory to declare him the champ--I'm KO'd over here and I guess that's only slightly better than being OD'd...though that is debatable right now...(pass judgement, I don't really care, you'd consider ODing too if it meant immediate relief). The most frustrating part (other than having a migraine and sensitivity to light yadda yadda) is not understanding why I'm getting them! Once every year or so isn't a bad track record. That was, until today, my previous track record. Not something to boast about or anything like that, but it certainly was considered "acceptable" to me. This onset, however, is completely unacceptable.
I had one pill left in my ibuprofen bottle this afternoon. Needless to say, that didn't help anything. The rest of that bottle was consumed yesterday, thinking it was just a headache brought on by tried eyes..HA! I even tried to wear my glasses today, thinking it would help the slight headache I had when I woke up--after taking excedrin migraine (nighttime) before bed. It was a vain attempt. Though my migraine isn't as damning as last nights episode, I really wish I could just bid these darn pests a found adieu.
what my little eyes saw when I was
in a desperate need of relief...
Other than this weeks drama of migraines, life has been pretty casual at the Burton household. Law school applications will be going in tomorrow night, then we'll get a credit card bill next week and life in the Burton household will be poverty stricken...that's only slight hyperbole. Maybe a few interesting things will pop up and I'll have the opportunity to share all the little details, but I wouldn't count on it.Here's to hoping these migraines leave--like yesterday!
