birthday girl @ 8:45 PM

My birthday has always fallen during the week that most students dread the most: finals week. Though I've grown used to this fact, it's still a brisk wake up call when my birthday rolls around and few people are free to go out to celebrate with me. Today was no exception. In fact, I wasn't even free to celebrate.

This morning I woke up to go to a study group for one of my COMD finals and then came home to study a bit more before giving in to my hubby's suggestion that we go out for my day.

Hubby took me out for a manicure and pedicure to celebrate my birthday (sorry, no pictures--I was too tired after the study session). Then we came home and watched some more HP.

Turning 23 is odd but being exactly HALF of my mother's age is even stranger to me. I'm so glad that she was okay with my interruption of her birthday 23 years ago. She's always been the woman I most admire and today reminded me of her unwavering love more than ever. Thanks for bringing me into this world, Momma Bear and thanks for telling me to wait for the one I loved (because he's a great birthday lover!)
