lines @ 11:31 PM
Working in the afternoons on a Saturday = sleeping in and not being as productive as you said you'd be.
Gar on the other hand was very productive today. He ended up canceling his iPhone order about a week ago over the phone once he realized that they had set up the shipping address incorrectly, after speaking with a rep over the phone and getting it "fixed" only to receive an email with the same error on it--he had had enough and decided to just order his iPhone through Apple and pick it up in the store.
It really was a good idea, especially when it fell on a Saturday and he was free all day anyway..except it required a little more than either of us had anticipated. He left the house around 930 to go up to Fashion Place to get the phone from the Apple store, waited in line for about 15 minutes and had the phone in his hands whilst talking to a Verizon rep to set it up..only setback? He was using his dad's upgrade in order to get the phone at the "discounted" price and the Verizon rep could only activate his device. On to the Verizon kiosk. They weren't any help because he could only get the info to upgrade the phone through them (they want the sale of the phone, of course) so he went to the Verizon store around the block and they said they'd help him--he just needed to get the phone activated under his dad's account and then come back to them and they'd switch the phone over to his number, easy peasy. One problem: he didn't have the phone because he didn't activate it at Apple. It's now pushing about 12ish (read: after 12) and hubbison still needs to get the phone activated in time for me to get to work. He goes back to the Apple store and it is now PACKED with people and the line is about 20+ people deep and he waits there for almost an hour. FINALLY gets helped and by around 130 is having his phone uploaded (as his dad's account) and getting a screen protector put on and by 2ish (read: after 2) he's getting the phone switched back to his number with all of his contacts on it and is leaving by about 245ish.
He called me on the new phone and got home in time to take me to work but I was without a hubby for the majority of my off morning and on top of that..I had an "in your face, let me show you how awesome this phone is that you still have in the box" husband as of 3pm MST. For real. Boo.
I'm excited for him to have his phone and I'm excited for my case to arrive so I can activate mine. It's been an ordeal but now we both have iPhones (or at least we own them..because mine doesn't really function as a phone just yet). HOORAY!!
