iPhone @ 1:33 PM
I've entered the rankings of the elite "cool people" club. That's right. I got an iPhone. And not just any iPhone--I have the new 4S! Woohoo! It came via FedEx today and I was hanging out in my robe trying desperately to study and not having the motivation to do so--but figured it'd be awkward to answer the door and sent the hubbs instead.
For the background info about our phone story click HERE and HERE. What we're left with, folks, is a husband that canceled his order and a wife who did not. Although math is not my forte I believe that factoring in my original ship date and shipping days (11 + 2 = 13 and take 13 - 3 = 10) I received my phone 10 days before I was supposed to! Talk about service.
I opened the box--merely to calm hubbs down--and let me tell you, THIS PHONE IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!! Just picking up the phone sent chills through my body. Owning an iPhone is so exhilarating and empowering. I seriously feel like this is all a dream. "Is this real life?!" It's the best ever!
The unfortunate thing (though there are many to mention) here really is the fact that I now have this incredible piece of technology and my hubbs is still sitting around with his "free"(piece of crap) phone. All of this excitement and the "thrill" of the feel of the phone is just for fun--I'm trying desperately to not be so nonchalant about this new phone, but I can't help it. It's cool and I'm glad I have it but I don't have a case for it yet (because it's 10 days early, remember?) and I have a history of dropping phones on the day that I get them--so I'm hesitant to even touch it--this is absolutely KILLING my husband.
He'd like nothing more than for me to play that "annoying little sister" role where I run around and say "look what I got! oh, wow! look at what this...OMGOSH I had NO IDEA IT COULD DO THAT!" but I think I've lost my touch. I really believe that I am no longer the "older sister" (could this have anything to do with being married to the older brother and constantly getting picked on or have I just grown up? I'll blame him...) I'm just a married lady with a brand new cell phone, sitting in a house.
