going home @ 12:16 PM
Hawaii was so beautiful and spending time away from Utah was just what I needed to keep my sanity. I had missed my hubby way too much though and was ready to get home to him. The morning seemed to come far too quickly. I wasn't ready to say good-bye to my family yet. I have a great ohana in Hawaii.
Sar and I got to the airport and said our goodbyes as we boarded the first flight to go to Maui for a lay-over. We had three flights: Honolulu to Maui to San Diego to SLC. Maui was fine and getting to SD was easy. It was leaving SD that took FOREVER!!! We were supposed to be home by 12am..we didn't arrive until 3am. The picture above was taken after waiting/sleeping in the SD airport.
We didn't have much leg room and we didn't care. We were excited to be on a plane that would be taking us away from an airport. With leis in hand we boarded our flight ready to get back to SLC.
I couldn't contain my excitement--camera couldn't
capture it either. Too happy for the hubbs hugs!!!
Happy to be "home" again.
The pilot of our plane saw us struggling to take our own photo and offered to help. This is us, three am, just getting back from Hawaii. We're tired but happy to have finally landed where we were supposed to. SO happy to be in his arms again!
He brought me my favorite flowers and I brought
him a taste of the islands--with love from auntie
and uncle.
It was so much fun to travel with Sar and see Hawaii again. I especially enjoyed my time in the sun and away from Provo. But when I finally landed in the airport I knew I was home because it felt familiar and inviting. It was undeniable when I was once again in the arms of the man I love the most. Aloha!
