Day Three @ 10:58 PM

We met up with some boys at church today and we were invited to go to Waimea Bay with them. After going home to change and grab some essentials and lunch (apparently we had pizza last night and had some left overs but I wasn't feeling well enough to eat anything and fell asleep early=lunch) we were off. Little did we know that about 30 minutes before we left Ewa for Waimea Bay (up in North Shore) some lady got scared of the rock the locals jump off of and started to walk down it only to fall down the majority of the stairs, resulting in a huge traffic jam up North Shore (two lane road, one way each--we were in the lane that was backed up, of course). The lady was rushed to the hospital.
This sign was posted after the accident and removed before we left.

Once we got to Waimea Bay we just wanted to have some fun and I wanted to relax OUT of the sun. We played some games and splashed around in the water a bit before climbing up the local rock to jump off of it. Sar ended up jumping off a few times but once I got up there I got super scared--I'm still not completely sure why. The rock is only about 18 feet up and the drop is clear into open water but I just freaked out and had absolutely NO desire to jump off..until the locals talked me into it but by then no one was taking pictures and there was no way I'd waited that long to jump to NOT have proof of it, so I just climbed down (and didn't fall) and hung out on the beach before we went out on some paddle boards and exploring in a cave off the shore.

When the sun started to set we decided it'd be a good idea to start heading back to the shore, where we stayed for a bit before the rain convinced us to end the night. It was so much fun to play at Waimea Bay!
