Day One @ 10:34 AM
Can I please just revisit this WONDERFUL leg room I had yesterday on the way to Hawaii? Flying coach has never been more worth it than in that moment and what a glorious moment it was for me.
We arrived in Hawaii last night. To recap the evening things went a little like this: leave from CO, fly 7+ hours to Maui, HI (consuming about 6 ginger ales in that time), get salad for dinner in Maui, board an earlier flight to Honolulu (without our checked luggage coming with), arrive in Honolulu and wait for luggage--keep waiting for luggage then go home with my Aunt Michelle and have a yummy pasta dinner with the fam. Our evening also included, but was not limited to, meeting Rango--the friendly geckos that live in HI and scared Sarah half to death!
Today we were off to Ko Olina to enjoy some Hawaiian sun while recovering from jet-lag. I haven't been hit with the jet-lag yet, but I'm also recovering from surgery so few things really phase me. Ko Olina was a great start to this vacation--super touristy but enjoyable and private. We met some cute kids and saw a few weddings (roughly six--all asian weddings). I feel a bit on the crispy side but I lathered that SPF on (no repeats of my last adventure to Hawaii for me!) I'm not so sure about Sarah's skin though--she looked a little bit on the extra crispy side when we left. Hope sunburn doesn't kill our excitement! Here are a few pictures from our day at Ko Olina--now it's time for a GNO!!!
View from our towels.
Perfectly blue water.
Paradise.
The only picture I snuck of the multiple Asian weddings.
Sar and I enjoying the Hawaiian sun!
